Staying Organized

Victoria from A Modern Homestead says:

With everything that we try to cram into the day, cutting corners on our meals tends to happen WAY too often! After eating some not-so-great food one day I was done. I knew we needed to have a way to eat better consistently! So I created this free meal planning tool that creates a custom meal plan based on the meals you enter… in less than 2 minutes you can create a 5 week meal plan that is printer ready! In less than 2 minutes you can have your custom meal plan up on the fridge for all to see.

No more wasting brainpower trying to think of something for dinner. It’s already done! For me, that’s the only way to keep good food on the table day in and day out while so many other things compete for my attention!

Mindy from Farm Fit Living says:

It’s quite a juggle to balance a business, family, farm and community involvement. I focus day by day by making a list of what must be completed that day. Communication with my husband also helps tremendously.

Teri from Homestead Honey says:

For my blogging and business, I use tools such as Trello and Google Drive to keep everything organized and easy to access on laptop, computer, or phone. On the homestead, I’m much more of a pencil and paper list-making girl, and for homeschooling, I am all about binders!!

Staying Productive

Victoria from A Modern Homestead says:

List making is the key for me. Not having to sit and try to remember everything that I need to get done means that I have more time (and energy!) to actually do things!

Mindy from Farm Fit Living says:

Lists help me stay on task. I love crossing things off. I love turning on a podcast or some good music to listen to while I’m cleaning, working or playing with the kids.

Teri from Homestead Honey says:

I am motivated to learn and grow, so being productive is never my problem. I have so many goals on the homestead, most of them revolving around producing a greater percentage of food each year. Business wise, I want to be able to support my family doing work that I love. Being able to be home with my kids and take occasional family vacations keeps me motivated. I also love working with coaches, and am a coach for other women who want to make their dreams happen.

Advice on Achieving Goals

Victoria from A Modern Homestead says:

My advice would be, once you have an idea for something that you want to achieve, research everything you can about the idea. Figure out if it’s something that you can really do with the time, money, and skills you have available. Setting realistic and well researched goals means that you are far more likely to achieve them! And who likes walking away from a goal? No one! So make sure you are clear on everything before you set your goals!

Mindy from Farm Fit Living says:

Focus on the little milestones that help you achieve those big life changing goals.

Teri from Homestead Honey says:

It’s so important to have a support network, whether that is a friend, family member, professional networking group, or a coach. Surrounding yourself with positive energy is key.
